People often have questions about the services I offer. I hope the answers below can answer some of yours.
Frequently Asked Questions
I've never worked with WordPress before. Can I still work with you?
Of course! We all have to start somewhere. While WordPress has a bit of a learning curve, it is the most popular content management system today and one I believe is well worth investing in and learning if you haven't already.
In addition to designing and developing websites, I offer clients CMS training so they're comfortable behind the scenes when it comes time to launch their new website.
How long does a new website take?
Every website, like every business, is different. As such, my answer is a consistent - it depends.
Contact me with the details of your project and I'll be happy to provide you with an estimate.
How much does a website cost?
What is the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org?
Great question! WordPress.com is a popular blogging platform. WordPress.org is a self-hosted open-source platform used for blogs and websites.
Can you design a website for my WordPress.com blog?
The websites I design and develop are for WordPress.org websites only. If you've been using WordPress.com, I would highly suggest switching to WordPress.org if you're ready to take more control of your online presence. I've helped clients switch from WordPress.com to WordPress.org, so please let me know if this is something you're interested in doing!
I've never worked with a web host before. Can you help me with this?
Absolutely! I understand that for many web hosting can be confusing. Before starting with a new client, I provide details on web hosting, who I recommend to make our process as easy and efficient as possible, and explain that you do not have to set up your web hosting until we reach the final stages of developing your new website 🙂
How many websites have you completed?
I have completed more than 25 websites over the years in multiple settings, having started my WordPress journey in 2011. I am currently a full-time web developer for a creative design agency by day and a freelance web designer/developer, copywriter, and brand strategist by night.
The websites I have developed have been a combination of custom sites and sites customized from themes. The majority being custom. I build custom sites now unless otherwise discussed with clients.
It hasn't been that long since I've started marketing my freelance work more publicly, so my independent portfolio is currently underway with the clients I have right now. While I've developed a number sites through my full-time work, it's a violation of my contract to share the work outside of the company, particularly in relation to my own business.
What is a brand strategist?
