If You Find Yourself Disenchanted With Work You Once Loved

Hello, fellow human! Today’s post is a Rose Carrie Micro-Moment. Micro-moments are quick posts about business, branding, web design, life, work, and everything in between. Let’s dive in.

Disenchanted

If you find yourself disenchanted with work you once loved, consider whether or not it’s the work itself or the circumstances surrounding the work.

It’s possible you still enjoy what you do – you just don’t enjoy where you’re doing it, how you’re expected to do it, or who you’re expected to do it with.

While the end results of our work should keep us inspired to continue creating, building, and making a difference, the day to day is really all about the process. If the process is off for you personally, you’ll feel it.

Want help assessing this in your own life? Take the work in question and explore it in other scenarios if you can. If this work was something you used to like doing on your own or under different circumstances, that’s a good indication that you may have drifted from your own path and ended up using your gifts on someone else’s in ways that don’t align with you personally.

Your Turn!

Have you ever experienced this? I know I have! Share your story with us in the comments below.
